WOLVERINES ROLL OVER WHEELERS, PASS LAST YEAR'S WIN TOTAL
Kjell Reid's 2 shorthanded goals lifted the Wolverines to a 7-3 win in Grand Prairie, and improving to 33-0 on the year.
Elias Lachance also scored his 19th goal of the year.
The black and gold have 2 games left in the regular season, but arguably their toughest test of the whole year.
A perfect season is in their sights, but they must go through a rematch of last year's NWJHL finals first, the 2nd place Fort St John Huskies.
Game times are 8pm MT on Saturday night, and 2pm MT on Sunday.
Here is the Dawson's Crease interview with Elias Lachance from the weekend:

WOLVERINES AND BLADES CUT IT CLOSE
A very exciting and surprising Beaverlodge Blades group was nearly the 1st team to beat the Wolverines on home ice last night in 2 years, but fell just a tad short.
The black and gold dazzled the twin arenas to the tune of a 4-2 come from behind victory in the 3rd period on Friday night.
The tilt was the last regular season home game for Whitecourt, and the conclusion to the 1st stuff a bus campaign.
Wayne Quaife stuffed the net with a pair, Captain Stubbs scored his 20th and Kjell Reid scored his second in as many games.
Whitecourt improves to 32-0, and travels to Grand Prairie tonight to take on the Wheelers.
