WOLVERINES GO NOT FOR PROFIT

NEWLY FOUNDED STARK SPORTS SOCIETY NEW HOME FOR TEAM
The Whitecourt Wolverines have now become the fundraising arm of the newly founded STARK SPORTS SOCIETY. Founded early this year by a group of employees at Scott Safety in recognition of Brent Stark's committment to Whitecourt youth the Stark Sports Society states its mission to enabling children in the pursuit of participation in organized sport or educational opportunities.
With the association between Stark, Scott Safety and the Wolverines having been established it was decided to put into place a Board of Directors that would oversee the operations and financial contributions the team could make to worthy causes.
Tracy Ross, the society's V.P stated. "It only made sense to get the people who helped make this team a successs involved so that the society could keep the good work going to those who need it most."
This year the team working hand in hand with the society have already assisted the #22 Elias Lachance Scholarship Fund, Loren's Cup which rraised funds for Cancer Research and Aidan's Day in support of Aidan Barnes.
Stark admits; "The team has always belonged to the town and the fans. No one ever does it alone and we are just glad to be able to bring help where it's needed as well as still give the kids someone to look up to."
