AIDAN BARNES - 2009 - 2011
HONORARY WOLVERINE "AIDAN BARNES" PASSES AWAY
SEASON DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF A HAPPY LITTLE BOY
WOLVERINES SADDENED BY NEWS
Brent Stark and the Whitecourt Wolverines are deeply saddened to have been informed that Aidan Barnes passed away in his sleep early on December 13th 2011 at his home surrounded by his family.
Aidan was the focus of “Aidan’s Day” which saw the Wolverines name him as the only honorary member of the team as a salute to the courage and grace demonstrated by he and his family during his battle with Cancer.
Aidan would have celebrated his 2nd birthday on the 14th of December.
The Wolverines Organization wishes to express its deepest sympathies to Gary & Stephanie Barnes as well as Aidan’s brother and sister (Gage & Mkenzie) at this trying time.
The Wolverines are also proud to have made a significant “Teddy Bear” contribution to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Aidan’s name with him present.
Aidan serves as an inspiration to all who had the benefit of meeting him and the Wolverines are proud to be able to name him as a member of our family. We will remember him for the vitality and enjoyment of life that he displayed and will work to dedicate this season as a tribute to the courage and compassion shown by the Barnes Family, friends and supporters.
Those wishing to make a financial contribution in Aidan’s memory are encouraged to do so to the Kids with Cancer. The link can be found at www.barnestockbenefits.webs.com.
