WOLVERINES SWEEP NAVS TO WIN 4TH STRAIGHT LEAGUE TITLE
TEAM TAKES THE CUP ON HOME ICE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN IT'S HISTORY WHILE SETTING NEW LEAGUE RECORDS
CHAMPS WIN ONE FOR LOREN CASE!
The Whitecourt Wolverines who finished the regular season in 3rd place behind the North Peace Navigators and Grande Prairie (JDA) Kings tonight completed a sweep in the finals to capture a 4th straight league Championship.
With a final score of 6 to 1, the Wolverines took control early in the game on home ice and forced a talented Navs squad to play thier game. Control and discipline were the keys to the game.
With the win, the Wolverines set new league records. They are;
Most Championships by a Franchise; 4
Most Consecutive Championships: 4
The team will now begin preparations to go to the Hockey Alberta Provincial Championship which will be in Okotoks Alberta on April 5th through to the 8th.
